Our Practice
Our eye care practice was started in 1966 by Dr. Frederick Fouquet and Dr. David Jordan. The office was opened "cold" while the doctors were also practicing in Bath, NY. Over time, the practice grew and was eventually joined by Dr. G. Robert Bausch in 1980. In 1991 Dr. Bausch went to work at the VA in Canandaigua in partial retirement and in 1992 Dr. Kevin Wynne joined the office. The practice was shared by three doctors until Dr. Jordan retired in 2000. Dr. Fouquet and Dr. Wynne ran the office as a partnership until December 2007 at which time Dr. Fouquet began his retirement. He made several appearances during the summers to see patients until his full retirement in the spring of 2014. Over the years we have had patients from other offices join our family. Most notably, the practice of Dr. Bert Boeckmann joined with us in early 2008. In all, our practice has had the experience of over 200 years of private practice guidance all at the utmost professional level. It can be argued that our practice has one of the longest running and most loyal patient bases in Rochester.
This is a true family practice. Even though the equipment and techniques have changed over the years, our values and commitment to the doctor-patient relationship are as strong as ever. We still have patients that go back 50 years and counting. Our commitment is strong to this method of practice and we will not let the socialization of medicine affect our work ethic as it has in many other offices.
